When fish aren't visibly rising, nymph the deeper seams along the undercut banks at 18–24 inches depth using a tight-line or indicator setup. Keep your eye on the sky: overcast breaks trigger the best surface activity, so watch for fish to start sipping in the flat water between the riffles. Remember you're in Yellowstone — handle all native cutthroats with care and keep them in the water.
