Wade the inside bends and fish the 18-inch-wide strip of slower water between the bank and the main current push, keeping your indicator set at 1.5x the depth (typically 4–6 feet in the pools). Use a heavier anchor nymph like the Thread Frenchie or Rainbow Warrior Extra Heavy to get down fast, and don't overlook the streamer game: high, slightly off-color water pulls big brown trout out of their lies and into the shallower edges where a swung Sparkle Minnow can draw a violent eat. If you see any surface activity during the 11 AM–2 PM window, switch to a BWO dry or emerger and target the flat water behind any mid-river structure that's breaking the current.
